Good evening world, with love. Today I am tired.
Mike and I went on a gentle hike where I took this photo in the golden hour. It was a beautiful, quiet place, and an attempt to recuperate.
Lately I’ve felt really overwhelmed as the stresses and obligations from work and home caught up with me, and hard. This kind of intense pain always precedes a moment of growth. Yet, I keep having to re-learn the same lesson: self-care is essential. Do less to do better. Health – physical, mental, spiritual – can’t be cheated, persuaded, or postponed. Working hard is a virtue but only sustainable when it is paired with sufficient rest.
Sometimes I strike this balance and it is invigorating. Other times it takes a solid knock to the head (figuratively) to remind me.
